This application evaluates the mathematical competencies that a student in seventh, ninth, and eleventh grades should develop, including questions relevant for police promotion exams.
With millions of tests available, the application generates a unique quiz each time it is accessed by randomly modifying a pool of questions. This feature ensures that users continually encounter different assessments.
The questions are derived from the Saber 7, 9, and 11 tests conducted in 2014, 2015, and 2016, as well as previous police promotion competitions. Furthermore, tests are self-correcting and automatically graded, providing students with a report based on their performance on a standardized scale ranging from 0 to 100.
This application distinguishes itself by allowing students to retake the same test multiple times until they master the necessary procedures to solve the presented problems. Due to its random data generation, memorization of answers proves ineffective.
Key features include:
- Questions utilizing a wide variety of data representations (tables, bar charts, frequency polygons, pie charts).
- Questions focused on calculating areas of figures containing shaded regions.
- Questions assessing various characteristics of solids (Platonic solids, prisms, antiprisms, among others).
- Questions regarding flat developments of different solids.
- Questions requiring the calculation of probabilities for various events.
- Questions involving averages, percentages, ratios, and proportions to develop numerical aptitude.
- Questions concerning everyday situations that necessitate representation through different graphs (bar charts, frequency polygons, etc.).
- Questions evaluating geometric transformations on the Cartesian plane.
- Questions that require knowledge of first-degree equations with one or two variables.
- Questions aimed at recognizing patterns in both numerical and geometric contexts.
- Questions related to representations in the plane of conic sections (ellipse, circle, parabola).
- Questions concerning trigonometric ratios.
- Both closed (multiple-choice) and open-ended (non-multiple-choice) questions.
This application aims to serve as a comprehensive resource for a variety of type tests aligned with Saber 7, 9, and 11 for students preparing for these assessments. Additionally, it focuses on enhancing quantitative reasoning for police officers and reviewing their foundational knowledge.
The development of this application is attributed to Mario Alberto Bermúdez Martínez, a Licensed Mathematician.
